Yes! Hear Hear! Lets stop imitating the sciences especially since when we do, it is only under the veneer of scientific research. We have been projecting our identity crisis by modeling medical and life sciences projects which favor positivist research models (and funding those over all others) resulting in the unsustainable notion that productivity is what is best for the world and the world of the arts – this is translated into unreasonable requirements for humanities scholars for prolific lists of publications resulting in works of lesser quality and often wasted resources.
